Better Half is currently in pre-launch. At this stage, the only personal information we collect is your email address when you join our waitlist or download our guide. This policy reflects that scope. Before launching any product features involving conversational interactions, relational memory, AI-generated outputs, or persistent user state, we will publish an updated Privacy Policy describing those features and associated data practices in detail. We will notify waitlist members when we publish the updated Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

Better Half is a relational AI product currently in development. The website is operated by Better Half (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Our contact email is findyour@better-half.ai.

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our website at better-half.ai and any related communications, including our waitlist and product update emails.

2. What information we collect

Information you provide voluntarily

Your email address, when you voluntarily submit it to join our waitlist or to receive our free guide via a form on our website.

We do not collect your name, location, phone number, payment information, or any other personal data at this time.

Please do not send sensitive personal information, health information, financial information, or confidential information through our forms or email communications at this stage.

Technical information collected automatically

We collect limited technical information automatically when you visit our website: pages visited, referring site, approximate country, browser and device type. This is collected by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, does not track you across other websites, and does not identify you individually. We use it only to understand how our website is being used.

Our hosting provider, Netlify, also processes standard server request data, including your IP address, as part of delivering the site and maintaining its security and performance.

3. How we use your information

We use your email address for the following purposes only:

To add you to the Better Half waitlist and confirm your signup.
To send you the guide you requested, where you asked for it.
To send you product updates, launch announcements, and invitations related to Better Half.
To respond to any questions or requests you send us directly.

We do not use your email address for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to Better Half. We do not sell your email address or any other personal information to third parties, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Legal basis for processing

We collect and process your email address based on your consent. When you submit your email address through one of our forms, you are voluntarily providing it and consenting to receive communications from us about Better Half.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us as described in Section 7 below.

5. How we share your information

We share your information with the following service providers who process it on our behalf:

Netlify (netlify.com) — our website host, which serves the site and stores form submissions.
Loops (loops.so) — our email platform, which we use to send waitlist confirmations and product updates.
Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) — our website analytics, which receives aggregate page view data and no personal identifiers.

These providers are bound by data processing agreements that limit how they may use your information. They may not use your data for their own purposes beyond providing their services to us. Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

We do not share your information with any other third parties. We will not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not use analytics tools that profile individual visitors or follow them across other websites.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Better Half, our users, or others.

6. Data retention

We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to the waitlist or product communications. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we will remove your email address from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.

7. Your rights and choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction. You may request that we correct inaccurate information.
Deletion. You may request that we delete your personal information. We will honor this request promptly, subject to any legal obligations to retain data.
Withdrawal of consent. You may withdraw your consent to receive communications from us at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.
Opt-out of email communications. You may unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email we send.

8. California residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To exercise your rights under the CCPA, contact us at findyour@better-half.ai. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

9. Children’s privacy

Better Half is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. 10. Data security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information appropriate to the limited nature of the data we currently collect, and rely on Netlify and Loops, both of which maintain robust security practices, to store and process your email address. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third party links

Our website may contain links to third party websites, including surveys we host on external platforms. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those websites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party sites you visit.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the “last updated” date at the top. If we make material changes, we will notify waitlist members by email before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of our website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
